Bloomberg American Cities Climate Challenge (ACCC) Expands Program and Selects Seven Additional Winners: The Bloomberg ACCC announced expansion of the program from 20 to 25 cities and selected Albuquerque, Austin, Charlotte, Denver, Orlando, San Antonio, and St. Petersburg as the final winners to participate in the two-year program where they will receive resources and support to accelerate progress towards meeting carbon emission reduction goals.

Somerville MA Releases First Climate Action Plan: Somerville's first community-wide climate action plan focuses on an equitable framework to advance their carbon neutrality goal and to prepare for the impacts of climate change.

Evanston Approves Climate Action and Resilience Plan: Evanston recently approved a plan that includes commitments to achieve 100% renewable electricity for all properties by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050 and to become more resilient to climate change impacts.

Indianapolis Seeks Public Comment on Draft Sustainability and Resilience Action Plan: Indianapolis released their first draft sustainability and resilience action plan for public comment, which include actions to advance their carbon neutrality goal and to become more resilient.

Cincinnati Commits to 100% Renewable Energy Goal: Cincinnati approved a 100% renewable energy by 2035 goal for all city-owned and operated facilities and a commitment to the transition to 100% renewable energy that is just and equitable for all residents.

Chicago Launches the Renewable Energy Challenge: Chicago rolled out the Renewable Energy Challenge, a voluntary program committing commercial and institutional property owners to achieve 100% renewable energy to power one or more buildings by 2035.

Montgomery County OH Announces Winners of GHG Emissions Reduction Challenge: Montgomery County OH recognized winners of a challenge program where local building owners committed to reducing GHG emissions for one year through energy efficiency measures.

Berkeley Wins SolSmart Gold Award: Berkeley received the SolSmart Gold Award that recognizes the city's efforts to provide clear guidance on rooftop solar, streamline permitting, train staff, and support group purchase programs.

Boulder County Adopts GoEV Resolution: Boulder County is the first local government to adopt a GoEV resolution that commits them to plan for electrifying their fleet, public transit and school buses, taxis, rideshare companies, and all passenger vehicles.
